Interactive Producer
EFX Media, an Arlington, VA based marketing and communications firm, is looking for an Interactive Producer to join our Full Service Production Team. As team leader and primary client interface, producers at EFX Media have full ownership of their projects. From the initial creative development to budgeting, writing and art direction - all aspects of a project feel the producer’s touch.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. They will be a self-starter who has at least 5 years of experience leading interactive design teams. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must.
Candidates should have an understanding of interactive tools and technologies including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML, CSS, ASP.net, Cold Fusion, PHP and streaming video. Additionally, experience should include search engine optimization, 508 compliance, web usability standards and information architecture.

Interactive Designer/Developers – Staff & Freelance Needed
EFX Media, a Washington, D.C. area Marketing Communications & Advertising firm, is looking for a full-time Interactive Designer/Developer to join its award-winning team. EFX Media also seeks freelance Interactive Designer/Developers for project work through the late Summer and Fall seasons, with potential to transition into a full time position with the company if desired.
Ideal candidates will be highly creative and highly skilled in Photoshop, Flash/ActionScript, HTML and CSS. We’re looking for creative designers, thinkers, and solution-makers, not a button pushers. This position will require you to work in teams and work with clients, so good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Professional agency/studio experience preferred. Other pluses include experience with Ruby on Rails, PHP, .NET, Cold Fusion and other programming languages. Experience in FinalCut, AfterEffects, or other motion design tools also a bonus.

Graphic Design Intern
EFX Media seeks an ambitious graphic design intern for either a summer or
semester-long internship. The intern will have the unique opportunity to
learn from EFX's creative and award-winning design staff, and will be
expected to work hard and contribute at a high level on a daily basis. This is an unpaid internship for someone who understands that the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the real world, learn from the best in the industry, and show a major design firm what he/she can do is worth it's weight in gold. We're looking for creative envelope pushers and top performers only. EFX Media is a marketing communications firmspecializing in video, print, and interactive media. We¹re experts at melding talent with technology to forge solutions in real time, with real budgets. Our many clients include America Online, National Geographic, Exxon Mobile, Nordstrom, Sallie Mae, Orbital Sciences, and PBS.
Finishing Services Internship
This unpaid internship is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic go-getter who is excited
about learning the ins and outs of the media services industry. Under the guidance of the Finishing Services Manager, the Intern will learn the full operation of the Duplication Center: including transfers to and from broadcast and consumer video; audio; CD and DVD formats; packaging; print layout and basic editing skills. The Intern will also learn the full operation of the Compression Center: including working from various tape or electronic file formats and converting them into deliverable electronic files for use in programming CD-ROM’s, authoring DVD’s and Web content design. The Finishing Services Intern will have the opportunity to participate in various stages of project development while interacting with clients, vendors and EFX staff members.
In addition to working in the Finishing Services Department, the Intern will assist
in a wide variety of other capacities at EFX. These may include participation in
weekly production meetings, acting as a grip/PA on shoots, working on one of our three
Avid editing systems, cataloging tapes, performing research, front office support
and more.

Sales Intern
Intern will assist in a variety of opportunities within the Sales Department. Candidate will be essential in the following:
Sales Intern Responsibilities:
Assist with sales/client research
Assist with RFP research/qualifying
Maintain materials for sales kits
Create sales kits
Competitive analysis research
Review and update contacts in current database
Train with Account Executive to learn techniques for calling into accounts and learning how to generate pre-qualified leads
Provide warm leads to Account Executives
Requirements:
Candidate must be currently working towards his/her Bachelors Degree with a concentration in a business related field, preferably in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing.
